The most common way to load data in the platform is through the file manager (although there are other ways, like APIs). To use it, click on the tab File Manager at the top of the screen (see figure below).
The navigation panel (see region 1) enables you to choose the folder you want to reach. Each team in the platform will have its own folder, only visible and accessible by the members of that team. For instance, in the figure below, you would have access to the Company Wide team, the Material team and the Aero team.
Once you are in the desired folder, you can either:
- Create a new sub-folder (see region 2), or
- Upload files in the current folder (see region 3). Drag and drop your files in the platform, and click on upload files. More information is available about supported formats for tabular and 3D data.
Once a file is uploaded in a team folder, it can be imported to any notebook created in that team environment, by using the Loader steps in the Import & Export section of the manipulator panel (see figure below).
It is important to understand the difference between:
- The File manager tab, where raw files are uploaded from outside the platform,
- the Data manager tab, which lists all the data sets and models saved within a team (click here for more information).
