Export a 3D geometry from the platform

In the platform, you might generate shapes and designs that you would like to export in order to use them elsewhere. For example, the 3D files could be used in the company workflow to run simulations or manufacture a prototype and test it.

Newly generated geometries can be exported as 3D files by clicking on the Export button at the top right of the step (see below). This is available on any step displaying 3D geometries in the platform (e.g. 3D Viewer, View Decoded Design, View Surface Field Predictions). These files will be downloaded on your local machine in the .vtp format and can then be used outside of the platform.
