Description

Shows a tabular preview of N random rows of the dataset.

Application

If you don't want to preview the first N entries of your dataset but a random sample as a quick check you could use this function.

How to use

You first need to assign the dataset to evaluate in the field Data. You can directly click Apply as all other options are preset or optional.

RowsSelect the number of rows which should be shown. The default value is 10 and can be increased up to 25.
Columns (optional)You can select the columns which are shown in the preview. If you leave this field empty all columns are shown by default.

More on this step

This step is very similar to Head but offers to preview a random subset. This is the same as running Quick Overview with the Table Type "Random Subset". Refer also to Columns and Count as further ways to get an overview of a dataset.

This function only has the purpose to enable a quick overview of your dataset and produces a tabular preview with up to 25 rows. If you want to produce an actual random subset of your dataset check out Random Subset in the Transform section.
